It ties at the neck, leaves the midriff bare, and does most of the visual work before anything else is considered. The high-waist shorts follow the same logic: a matching buckle at the waistband, a front zip, and a fit that sits close without pulling.
Together the two pieces create a silhouette that reads clearly in person and holds up on camera. Separately, each works with other pieces. The gloss catches light differently depending on how you move, which is most of the point.
